At the beginning of July last, The Attic Bridalwear Boutique was delighted to be involved in a photo shoot in the stunning and classic Gloster House, located in County Offaly. Gloster House is a 300 year old Georgina building designed by Sir Edward Lovett-Pearce, one of the leading architects at the time in Ireland.
As you walk through the house, the Palladian influence is evident, with the use of simple lines, mathematical proportions and symmetry in every room.
Situated at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains, this is the perfect location for any wedding. The extensive garden's leading down to the lake make you feel like you’re stepping into a Jane Austin book.
The dress we chose for the shoot was from the South African label Anna Georgina, available at The Attic Bridalwear Boutique Limerick. Worn here by our beautiful model Elena, the 1930’s inspired dress has a deep V and revealing back. The straight silhouette is very reminiscent of old Hollywood Glamour and the chapel length train gives you the dramatic entrance. The intricate beading on the dress sparkled in the sun and emphasised the models curves.
Our photographer for the day was Whim from In Love Photography, who did a wonderful job capturing the fun and fantasy of the day. Whim was very easy going and I think the photographs speak for themselves. His unique angles and artistic take on the shoot took our breaths away.
The hair on the day was by the fabulous Ciara Downes McNamara from Hair By Ciara, who recently opened her own salon here in Limerick. Ciara went for the vintage curls to complement the dress.
Make up was by the lovely Fiona McNamara from Makeup By Fiona who is also located in Limerick. Fiona specialises in Airbrush HD makeup.
Jewellry was designed by Rudolf Heltze and Rionore + Co. Located in Kilkenny, Rudolf Heltzw works has got international recognition for his quality of craftsmanship, original designs and the use of some of the world’s oldest craft techniques.
Shoes were generously provided by Serendipity Shoes located just below The Attic Bridalwear Boutique on Roches Street also known as the wedding street, a one stop street for all Bride’s needs.
A massive thank you toN Fete who organised the entire day, a Wedding and Event Design Company, who made the day special for all involved. They provided the flower wall and the silver glitter backdrop seen in these pictures.
